MARCH

I cannot believe March is already over! Time is f l y i n g by and it makes me sad to think our days in ptown are less and less.

March wasn't a particularly exciting month. It started off with me leaving to LA for work, and then Scott going to Vegas for the tournament right after. Most of our nights have been me watching Netflix on the couch while Scott does homework. I am so excited for that boy to graduate.

We have taken advantage of this beautiful weather with walks to the park whenever we can.

Seriously this Utah weather has been AMAZING! I don't think Scott minded being locked out of the apartment. I certainly didn't mind coming home to this view either.

We got to go to Scott's finance graduation dinner and it was sooooo nice. Delicious food with raspberry everything and some pretty great speakers.

We also went to two jazz games in one week...

The one time Scott's wardrobe comes in handy.

I got to have ice cream with my favorite pregnant lady

And we attempted to shop for maternity clothes while our husbands stayed in one place.

We saw Cinderella that night and it was one of those movies that you left wanting to be a better person. So heartwarming and cute!

You are also are looking at the runner ups to BYU's very own Family Feud. Does it matter that there were only 3 teams in the running? No. Does it matter that the hottest date spots according to BYU students are the duck pond and the creamery? Obviously.

I also broke out my birthday present and whipped up these bad boys.

They weren't disgusting, but they definitely had a similar texture to that of cornbread. Scott loves me so he still ate them. Nowhere to go but up right? If anyone has any good donut recipes please let me know.

I went to my first doggy birthday party! Pirate themed of course.

Happy First Birthday to Samson!

Also thanks to our friends we were introduced to emeals.

SO AMAZING! They email you each week with meal plans and a grocery list. We have been doing it for about three weeks now so it may be too soon to speak but every meal we have made has been SO delicious. And definitely something we wouldn't usually cook. And it is saving us money on our grocery bill.

The other day Scott and I pulled out all of the notes and scrapbooks we had written/made for each other throughout dating and marriage.

I have been getting a little stressed every time I think about moving so it was a really good reminder on what really matters and how lucky I am to not go through these changes alone.

With March passing so quickly I know the summer will do the same. I am looking forward to actually enjoying this good weather, getting a tan, spending time with friends and making the move.

Excited for what is to come!

RICE KRISPIES AND HUSBANDLESS

These rice krispies are TO DIE FOR. Seriously every time I have made them they are gone in seconds. So I had to make some to welcome home my husband after being apart this weekend!

Scott went down to Vegas with his buddies for the BYU game. It kind of sucked because I was in California last weekend for work. But they have had that tradition since before I even knew him, and this was their last trip. (Sad).

Aren't they cute? And SO trendy! I totally creeped and stole this from one of their instagrams...

My weekend was not as exciting. It mostly looked like this-

Even though I missed Scott a ton,  I got SO much done though. Lots of editing also helped the time to pass fairly quickly. I also let myself drown my sorrows in sweets. Which included lots and lots of ice cream. Luckily Caitlin, (my husbands best friends wife... which basically makes us best friends by association) was also husbandless so we went to dinner up in park city and then to the BYU water polo game.I spent the time reliving my glory days and singing "Put Me In Coach" Now I am just sitting on the couch, staring at the door, and waiting for my husband to walk through so I can jump on him!

#MJ #23

Anyone else think about Jess's birthday episode when yours comes up? I know I do. I definitely am not as drastic as Jess is, but I always have secretly liked the idea of a day that is all about me. But as you get older, birthdays become less and less special. Remember when birthdays were like the biggest deal ever? Your mom would bring cupcakes to school and your friends would bring you balloons and flowers and everyone would sing to you? Well my 23rd birthday involved working all day and eating lunch out of vending machine. And then coming home and being ridiculously spoiled by my sweet husband. So even though March 2nd wasn't a day that revolved around me, it was pretty special.

Another birthday treat was getting to walk to work with Scott! But it was raining pretty hard and we only have one umbrella...

I bought a snickers because its my birthday

We went to dinner up at Sundance and Scott let me listen to The Last Five Years soundtrack. He will deny it but he loved it too.

Super good quality pictures at dinner.

It snowed quite a bit and getting down the mountain was a whole other adventure.

Scott outdid his thriftiness and instead of wrapping my presents put them all in a suitcase. I love him so much.

Scott kept telling me how he was "making me something" and this whole time I pictured some crafty thing...

He suffered the fumes of a million spices and reorganized our spice rack- took out the spices we never use and filled the bottles with spices I do! And then made new labels- how great is that?

Among other presents were cake bites, reeses, in-n-out giftcard, a donut pan, and a cookbook.

Yes pretty much everything I got had to do with food...

We took a picture with Scott's Michael Jordan card but it turned out blurry...oh well.

23 is going to be a pretty great year.
