OCTOBER THROUGH MY IPHONE

"I am so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers"
 - L.M. Montgomery

I cannot believe October has come and gone.

Time is passing way too fast!

November?? That means just a couple of weeks until Thanksgiving.... then a couple of weeks until CHRISTMAS. Oh gosh I am so excited.

October was pretty eventful. As you can see through pictures I snapped through the month.

Scott got creative with napping on our tiny couch.

So excited to have a real one someday!

The grocery store had a wide variety of fall vegetables.

I spent hours working with Stephen on our film 6 Till Engaged

A documentary we have been working on for about a year and a half but it's getting closer to being finished!!

And it's going to be amazing!!!

Caitlin and I crafted for our weekend in Park City

Superman Scott who is NEVER sick got a little cold this month.

And carried tissues everywhere.

He also wore his glasses from his halloween costume out of the house a few times.

And my sweet sister sent us the greatest halloween card ever.

My long lost friend Kelsey who left me for Portland came to visit.

I only had an afternoon with her but it was magical

Taking pictures of the mountains... what a loser.

It's not like I don't love Halloween but it's not my favorite holiday

I like dressing up, and I like candy, but I HATE scary things.

This was about all I could handle.

We went with Kyle and Lily and I think we were the only people there who weren't accompanying little children.

For the first time, and last time, Scott and I have a class together!

I love having an excuse to see him TWICE a week during the day. Instead of having to wait until 5pm.

We take full advantage of meeting up before class so we can walk together.

We like to keep each other very informed of our whereabouts.

We had to go buy a furnace filter, and got to support the future family business.

Please excuse Scott's jersey.

This is the only picture of food I took this month.

I am really impressed at my self restraint.

Remember when I called Kelsey a loser for taking pictures of mountains?

Ha whoops... They are just so beautiful!

We supported our team.

Yes even me

And Scott finished a HUGE project at work.

So he got a cake!

I took my last test in the BYU testing center EVER.

Yes it was bowling. And yes I haven't taken a test in there for two years (perks of being a film major) but it was still a big deal!

And we celebrated by going to bowling class.

It's by far my favorite class.

Even though I am only in two real classes.

I started off with a whopping 33 my first day, and I have greatly improved.

And we wear jerseys and take it with our friends.

During October I was that girl who took a million pictures of the beautiful leaves.

And of sunsets.

We brought Caitlin and Jonny to our ward Halloween party.

And BYU had Harry Potter Week

Scott "dressed up" for work this morning.

Doesn't count if this is how he would dress everyday if his wife would let him.

And I took more pictures of the leaves I saw on the way to work.

Maybe it's silly but I think there is something magical about walking through falling leaves.

This weekend is supposed to get colder. Which means winter is on its way.

Hope everyone had a great October!

ARE YOU IN NEED OF ANY ASSISTANCE TODAY?

Last year Scott and I threw our costumes together in an hour.

This year I decided maybe we should put a little more effort in.

We recreated this Carl and Russell look from UP for about $25 total.

Being with Scott tonight was like having a glimpse into the distant future.

A gray haired, wrinkly skinned, grumpy faced future.

It was worth it when we pulled off third place in our ward halloween party... woooo!

But I am happy to have my blonde haired, wrinkle free husband back

Hope we find an excuse to dress up next year!

Side Note: If anyone needs any gray hair spray or liquid latex we got that for dayssss

CHEESEBURGER FLATBREADS

Scott's favorite food is the cheeseburger so I am always trying to find ways to reinvent it.

He would eat a cheeseburger every day if he could.

I however, need some variety.

So when I saw this recipe I HAD to try it.

And it is simply delicious.

One pound of ground beef, One packet of dry onion soup mix, 1/2 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of mustard, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons of canola oil, thin crust pizza dough, shredded cheese.

Brown your ground beef. Drain and pour back into your saucepan.

Add soup mix, ketchup, mustard, garlic, water and vinegar.

Mix together and let it sit over low heat.

It will start to smell AMAZING.

While that is simmering, take your pizza dough and roll it out.

Split the dough into six pieces.

Roll into balls.

Roll out each piece of dough.

Heat oil over the stove.

When it is nice and shiny, place the dough and heat for one minute.

Then flip and heat the other side for a minute

Repeat for all the dough.

Scoop the meat on top of the flatbread and top with cheese.

And enjoy!
