MEXICO

If you follow me on any form of social media, you are probably well aware that I got to spend 10 days down in Mexico with the super awesome Color By Amber jewelry company. My good friend Ariel was hired to film their yearly incentive trip, and I got to come along to help shoot. We spent 5 days visiting a few different villages in Chiapas, and then 5 days at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. It was a life changing trip to say the least. The pictures above are just a few that I was able to snap in between shots, or steal from our amazing photographer Gentri before parting ways, but when I get more pictures I will definitely post those!

Also in case you couldn't tell our blog got a little makeover! I have been wanting to clean it up for awhile but after failing many times at figuring out html, I found Mango Blog Shop . Super affordable and super easy. I also gave in to finally just calling this blog "casscott" after going back and forth of thinking that was dumb/cheesy/stupid but also secretly loving it at the same time. Ok I am rambling now. Bye!

D.C. FOR THE WEEKEND

^^ I love getting my phone back after asking Scott to take a picture. I always end up with gems like this one-

Can't help but giggle when I get photos on my camera like this.

Still working on Scott's skills behind the camera :)

Oh hey hi me here. No we are not dead. Just been a few months of really busy and boring lives. Scott works SO much and when he is not working he is studying for the GMAT. But it's chill because I have found ways to stay busy too! I started an internship with the Virginia Film Office which I am LOVING. And when I am not there, I have been busy working on Cassie H Creates projects or listening to the Hamilton soundtrack.

Anyways my sister-in-law Kris and niece Ryan were in D.C. for the week so on Saturday we drove up to spend the day with them! Ryan and Scott are two peas in a pod. Her favorite thing to do is climb all over him. In case you couldn't grasp that from the little iphone pic collage. We had a fun little sleepover with them that night which included lots of pillow fights between Scott and Ryan, watching Disney Channel shows (is it just me or has the quality of those shows gone way down?) and Scott staying up till who knows when to catch up on the UNC/Syracuse game. Go Heels!

SIX MONTHS IN RICHMOND

At the beginning of February we hit our SIX month mark of living in Richmond! That is half a year! We always knew going into the move that we were only going to be here for a short period of time, so I had the mindset of if I hated it, I could deal with it until we had to leave. But it is just the opposite! I love Richmond so much! It has really become our home and I will be so so so sad to leave it.

I put together a little video of some of the clips we have gathered since the move. Sometimes I am really good at remembering to take out my camera. Other times... not so much.

In other news, things around here are quite boring. Scott is in full GMAT mode again which means I have been watching a lot of Netflix and going to bed early haha.

I am also sooooo done with the cold and very excited for spring to come. It was almost 70 yesterday but it's supposed to snow this weekend... such a tease!

PRESIDENTS' WEEKEND

We have never really been big Valentine's Day celebrators, it has sort of become a accidental tradition to never celebrate by ourselves! This year two of our best friends came out to the east coast and we spent the day exploring Mount Vernon and some DC sights. It was probably negative 2938492384 degrees and the day after we got stuck up in DC thanks for a surprise blizzard. But it was such a fun weekend and we are constantly dreaming up ways to live near all of our friends again... without leaving our new friends here.
