EMERALD ISLE 2016

We spent last week in Emerald Isle with Scott's family and it was sooooo wonderful. This was my third time going and this beach is quickly becoming one of my favorite places. This was the first real vacation we have had (because vacations while you are in school with student jobs are not real vacations) and it was amazing to get to spend so much time with Scott and just relax. I don't think I have ever been more sad for a week to end. We did nothing but go to the beach, play in the pool, eat seafood, play games with family, and snuggle.

I am currently watching the movers take all of our stuff out of our apartment and it is so bittersweet. I am excited to move but I am going to miss this place so much. It really felt like our first home. It will be empty for the next two weeks (so we can have stuff when we get to Arizona) which will be a challenge- hiiii paper plates and eating on the ground- but it will be an adventure right? Time please slow down.

YORKTOWN

Please enjoy the awkward solo pics. I brought my tripod but then forgot the connector for the camera, so a self timer pic was not an option.

When Scott and I found out we were moving- have I mentioned we are moving?? :) - we made a list of all the places we wanted to go before we left. Unless Scott takes his last week off work I don't think we will be able to get to all of them haha. But last weekend we went to Yorktown! I was so excited because during the week I didn't see Scott for more than an hour each night. Sometimes less than an hour. So I made him take me on a date Friday night and then a day date on Saturday to Yorktown! It was really fun and really hot. We didn't know it was a real beach so very much regretting not bringing our suits. But I guess that gave us time to read every little historical placard, which is Scott's favorite thing. I don't really have the attention span for that. So I just walked around and sang Hamilton to myself.

One thing I will miss- GREEN. I love how all the streets are just lined with beautiful green trees and I don't think I am ready to trade that in yet.

We are heading out this weekend to spend the week at the beach with Scott's family and I COULD NOT BE MORE READY. Laughing at myself for thinking I needed a vacation while we were still in school. I didn't know how good I had it...

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME

Oh hey me here. Wow I have been TERRIBLE at blogging in 2016. But to be fair our lives have been pretty boring. Scott studied and then took (AND DOMINATED) the GMAT from January to the end of May, while I sat on the couch and watched netflix on my laptop with my headphones in. Not the most exciting material for blog posts I tell you. And then right after that Scott went to Mexico for a week, he came home and we went apartment hunting in AZ (found one! yay!) and then right after that I left to go camping with the young women (girls between 12-18) from our church. I know, who decided it was a good idea to put me in charge since I (still) have never put up a tent in my life, but it was actually really fun and no one died or got hurt on my watch

And that brings us to July. We have less than 6 weeks left in Richmond so I have made a bajillion promises to myself to be better at documenting because soon we won't have the chance to walk down to the river or go to our favorite park or hang out with our friends so I want to make sure I have a way to remember this special place.

Last weekend we won tickets to a Washington Nationals game so we headed up after Scott's work. We got there pretty late but it ended up going to 14 innings so we pretty much got to sit through an entire baseball game! If you follow me on snap (which uhhh you should @cbrazzy) you know that the only reason we stayed till the end was to see the firework show which they CANCELED. It was a rough loss for not only the Red's that night, but for me as well.

I SAT THROUGH RAIN FOR THE FIREWORKS (pictured below are the storm clouds before the rain)

But it's ok. I am (almost) over it. We still had amazing seats and parked right across the stadium and since it was a free date, Scott let me buy all the delicious overpriced baseball food I wanted!

Hope everyone has a wonderful fourth! Scott has to work today (ON AMERICA'S BIRTHDAY) so I will be deep cleaning my apartment and pretending like I don't know that it's a holiday and  everyone else is spending the day with family, then I'll be making burgers for dinner because... america, and then I'll be inviting myself over to our friends apartment to watch fireworks on their roof.

Also after re reading this  I realize it is kind of one big rant and for that I apologize! Life is great! I am happy! I love Scott! And I love you!

WE ARE MOVING

TO PHOENIX THIS SUMMER!!!!

Even though we are going to miss Richmond so much (seriously I cry every time I think about leaving) we are SO excited to move somewhere with endless sun, Mexican food, quite a few friends already in the area, a five hour drive from my family, and IN-N-OUT!!!! We lived in Phoenix two summers ago and we are pretty stoked about going back (especially since the other option was New Jersey and while it would be cool to have NYC as your backyard, I am happy to settle for a year round tan and being able to afford to live in something bigger than a shoebox).

We will be spending our last 2 1/2 months in Richmond doing all the touristy things we thought we would have another year to do, spending as much time as we can with the Hiatts (sad to move so far away from then again), and filming other people so that when we move and I have no business contacts, I can convince people to hire me :)
