SIX MONTHS IN RICHMOND

At the beginning of February we hit our SIX month mark of living in Richmond! That is half a year! We always knew going into the move that we were only going to be here for a short period of time, so I had the mindset of if I hated it, I could deal with it until we had to leave. But it is just the opposite! I love Richmond so much! It has really become our home and I will be so so so sad to leave it.

I put together a little video of some of the clips we have gathered since the move. Sometimes I am really good at remembering to take out my camera. Other times... not so much.

In other news, things around here are quite boring. Scott is in full GMAT mode again which means I have been watching a lot of Netflix and going to bed early haha.

I am also sooooo done with the cold and very excited for spring to come. It was almost 70 yesterday but it's supposed to snow this weekend... such a tease!

PRESIDENTS' WEEKEND

We have never really been big Valentine's Day celebrators, it has sort of become a accidental tradition to never celebrate by ourselves! This year two of our best friends came out to the east coast and we spent the day exploring Mount Vernon and some DC sights. It was probably negative 2938492384 degrees and the day after we got stuck up in DC thanks for a surprise blizzard. But it was such a fun weekend and we are constantly dreaming up ways to live near all of our friends again... without leaving our new friends here.

SNOW + WICKED

So unless you have been living under a rock, you have probably heard about the storm that hit the east coast last weekend. We got tickets to see Wicked in Charlotte from my sister on the 24th (shoutout to the greatest xmas present yet!) and realized if we wanted to make it, we probably needed to get out of the city before it hit. We made it to Scott's brother house just in time. We woke the next morning to snow everywhere and spent the weekend inside with the occasional trip outside to play. The whole weekend I was praying that the show wouldn't be canceled because of the weather. I was seriously checking the website every five minutes. Thankfully it wasn't! So after jumping for joy and realizing Scott would FINALLY get to see one of my favorite musicals, we hopped in the car and made our way to Charlotte.

You know those days that you just feel like you want to remember forever? That was how this day was.  We had time to grab brunch at the cutest little restaurant and then made our way to the theatre where I basically cried of happiness the whole show We then listened to the soundtrack the whole 4 hours home and were greeted with a snow covered city!

Sooooo I won't be going outside again until it is all melted!

TWENTYFIFTEEN RECAP

going out to visit richmond // spending a weekend in oregon with our wedding twins // getting in as many west coast sunsets before the move to the east // enjoying the last few months in our first little apartment // walking together at graduation // spending the fourth of july in la jolla // italy- the most amazing trip of our lives with the most amazing people // moving & countless trips to ikea // living in Virginia with my lover.

2015 has certainly been a year full of changes and surprises. I have loved every second of it- the good and the bad, the hard and the easy. I love reflecting on the many adventures Scott and I were able to have and all the memories we were able to make together. I see how we both have grown, and how much we have learned. I am a sucker for getting sentimental at the end of the year, along with making goals and resolutions for the next one. I am so looking forward to what 2016 brings.
