SEDONA

My parents gifted us a weekend away for Christmas last year and we decided to use it to celebrate Scott's birthday! The older I get the more I really prefer experiences over things! It was so nice to just be with Scott for the weekend without any distractions. I love exploring new places with him and I can't wait to continue doing so. We are really trying to make an effort to get out and see more of Arizona so it was nice to check Sedona off the bucketlist!

We made a little video while we were there. We are also only SEVEN subscribers away from 100!!! It's crazy to me that there are 100 people who care enough about us to actually subscribe to our little channel! Making these videos is so much fun for us and I can't wait for some fun ones we have coming up... we may or may not be going on a safari in the next few weeks...

A NOT SO GHOST TOWN

the cutest little family ever

At the beginning of January we headed up to Goldfield Ghost Town with our friends Caitlin and Jonny and their cute baby Carson. I was originally going to wait to post these photos until I finished editing the video to go with them, but my hard drive decided to die and the footage was one of the few things I hadn't gotten around to backing up :(

Goldfield was pretty cool but also pretty crowded. We didn't pay to any of the attractions but we still had fun walking around and holding Carson. Oh I lied. Jonny and Scott paid $2 to play a shooting game which we had video of but no pictures. We then headed up to another "ghost town" called Tortilla Flat and it was probably three buildings and not even worth a picture. But the drive up there was really pretty. Did you guys know the part of Arizona are actually green? I didn't!

Also checking in on my New Years blogging goal... I mean it could be worse! I have already blogged three times! Let's see if I can double that by the end of the month...

UTAH

^^ this is where Scott proposed and we took this pic almost 4 years exactly to the date so that is pretty cool

A couple weeks ago I tagged along on Scott's work trip to Utah. He got to go back to BYU and recruit for Honeywell! We were really looking forward to meeting up with old friends and visiting some of our favorite Provo spots. We were still able to do most of that but what we were not planning was that it would snow NON STOP while we were there. And it wasn't like the fun snow you go run around outside in. It was the very cold stay inside kind of snow.

So even though we spend more time napping (ok I spent more time napping) in our comfy hotel bed than we had originally planned, we were still able to check off most things on our to do list. It was so fun being back but it also felt kind of weird... like we didn't quite belong. And I would be lying if I said I was relieved to come back to 70 degree weather. An Arizona winter is my kind of winter!

We also made a video while we were there which you should check out!

PLAYING BRIDE AND GROOM

Photos by Molly McElenney

The other week Scott and I got to get all dolled up and model for a styled shoot and honestly it was so much fun. At first I was a little nervous that we would be awkward (since usually I am the one behind the camera) and all the photographers would hate us, but that fear quickly melted away and we were at ease. It could have been quite intimidating with so many photographers there but I couldn't help but laugh when I looked over at Scott saw this-

But they were all so nice and made us feel so comfortable. Even Scott had fun and I may even be able to convince him to do something like this again....?

Too tired right now but will update with all the vendors in the morning - is that lame? Who cares. Yes it is only 9pm and yes I am going to bed!
