^^if you are ever in San Diego make sure to try Hodad's! Scott swears its the best burger he's ever had.
You know those places from your home town that you always claim to have the best "____" in the world? Never have I ever had a better Eggs Benedict than at The Cottage. It's a pretty much a no brainer that we go there at least once for breakfast while I am home.
All I have been dreaming about for the past month was a California Burrito and a sunset. I don't think anyone was too upset about me dragging them along to fulfill that dream.
And now feast your eyes on the gayest photoshoot ever.
These boys are ridiculous.
Is it sad that 5 months into working I already understand the phrase "I need a vacation" all too well? Our friends had been talking about going down to California for Memorial Day Weekend and once I knew it wouldn't conflict with work I couldn't say yes fast enough. I definitely took where I am from for granted while I was growing up. It is a dream coming home to this slice of heaven after being in Utah. And it doesn't hurt that our friends love it to. So I get to knock out hanging with family AND friends all in one trip. After a loooooong car ride (I don't recommend driving 10 hours with 4 boys in a 5 person car) and sleeping in my own bed again (Is there anything better?) we were ready to make the most of the three days we had. Our friends from Arizona drove down as well so it was a literal party. Filled with amazing food, lots of beach, endless rounds of Kan Jam and Washers, lots of aloe, guacamole with every meal, and so much laughter. The whole time I didn't know whether to enjoy spending time together or cry because I can't imagine moving so far away from these people. PS- ONE more month with these mountains.... how is time moving so fast?
