TWENTYTHIRTEEN RECAP

starting off 2013 with getting engaged // enjoying all the perks of being engaged like getting pretty pictures taken and trying lots of cake // practicing our wedding dance... jk I have no idea why we were doing this but my mom snapped a pic one day while Scott was visiting // going through the temple // GETTING MARRIED // honeymoon of my dreams want another one now please // enjoying all the newlywed bliss // visiting the Hiatt farm in North Carolina // our first christmas together and yes this is the only picture I have.

Ok it is the end of 2014 so I feel like it is cheating to talk about the end of 2013 and my hopes for the new year since I have already lived it haha. But 2013 was definitely the year my life changed the most. I went from girlfriend to fiancĂ© to wife which was amazing but also really emotional for me haha. I felt like I was really growing up! All of the change that was coming really hit me when I flew out to visit Scott during Christmas of 2012. When my parents dropped me off at the airport I remember I could not stop crying and I couldn't figure out why. I knew I wanted to marry Scott and I knew it would be happening in the next year, but I was also so sad to close the chapter of being the baby of the family and still having my parents take care of me. As my dad was hugging me goodbye he said "it's ok things are changing. But one thing that won't change is you will always be my little girl." 2013 was full of changes but it's nice to know that some things stay the same.

TWENTYFOURTEEN RECAP

living in phx for a summer and going on many temple dates // being in my favorite place with my favorite person // visiting my brother in la and partying at the rose bowl // spending our one year anniversary at the beach // getting some fantastic pictures back from our anniversary session // utah fair with some friends to soak up our last year in provo // the halloween costume we won't ever be able to top // my favorite beach at thanksgiving // new christmas pjs

So a lot more happened in 2014 but I realized I was really bad at taking pictures before we moved to Arizona for the summer whoops :) I did go to China which was amazing and should probably do a whole separate blog post on that soon but 2014 for me was all about slowly preparing myself to transition out of college life into real life. I graduated college this year and Scott will shortly follow next semester. We have just been really enjoying our last year with all of our friends in Utah before we make the move the Virginia. I think 2015 will be a really hard year but also a really exciting year with all the changes it will bring.

Also I am totally cheating and going to make a 2013 one of these right now since I didn't have this blog then but still want a way to remember that year. So go check it out!

2013

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas Eve day always drags on. It seems like night will never come.

We started the morning at The Cottage.

And then my nieces passed the time skating.

The sunset Christmas Eve was beautiful.

I don't have a picture of it- but here is a picture of my family!

My dad and I in our Christmas PJs.

99.5% of these presents were for my nieces.

Best present? A free trip to LA we can use when we move to the east coast!

We (attempted) to skype with the Hiatts.

Our Christmas present to the girls was a shopping spree (where they could only buy one thing) and lunch and ice cream at the mall.

Scott is so wonderful to our nieces.

And soup group got to visit our old stomping grounds for lunch!

5 years ago we took this picture at soup plantation-

So we had to recreate it (minus the uggs)

Love these ladies.

So here is to a wonderful Christmas. So excited to ring in the new year with my family.

SOUP GROUP

Hi these are my best friends aka soup group.

Every year we have an ugly sweater gift exchange christmas party where we eat way too much (I had like six pumpkin squares), drink some wine (aka water for me), take lots of pics (which are pretty much all blurry), and catch up on the year.

Best. Night. Ever.

WE EAT SOUP

Merry Christmas from the soupies!
