SURPRISE!!! Still not sure HOW I convinced Scott to spend all of our money and fly to Europe with our best friends, but I did. And it was the greatest. We spent two weeks traveling slash eating through Italy and definitely made the most of it by seeing SO MUCH. Seriously- never will I ever complain about my feet hurting again. I may have gotten a little snap happy because I ended the trip with over 3,000 pictures. I will try to show some restraint as I put them up here, but I apologize in advance for the overload of Italy posts coming your way over the next couple of weeks. (We are in the process of moving (?!?!!!) so our internet situation is a little up in the air. But you know whenever I have wifi I will be writing these posts and trying to relive this trip.)
Also don't expect these posts to be a bunch of glamor travel shots. Yes we saw a lot of very beautiful and breathtaking things, but the same cannot be said for how we looked (or at least how I looked). It was hot, crowded, humid, I wore running shoes with dresses, was a terrible outfit repeater, my hair didn't last down for more than 10 minutes, and we were all very very sweaty. (We have a new motto for whenever we think we are hot, "At least we aren't in Venice.") There were times when we were all tired, cranky, and hungry. My feet were constantly in pain from all of the walking and no matter how much water I was drinking I was still always thirsty. But I wouldn't have had it any other way. We made so many unforgettable memories and saw so many amazing things I never dreamed of seeing any other way then in a textbook. And traveling with your best friends? Probably ten times better then if Scott and I had done it alone. Get used to these model worthy faces. You will be seeing quite a bit of them on here.
In these posts, I won't idealize our trip. I promise to keep it real and tell you how it was, mention any tips or tricks I can think of that would have made our trip better, and spam you with lots of pictures of gelato. So if you want to follow along and feel like you were there with us, check back from time to time or follow me on bloglovin' to stay up to date on when I post. I promise it will be worth it.
So cheers to reliving the best most exhausting two weeks of our lives!
