FLORENCE RANDOMS

^^I am obviously super good at taking pictures.

Tbh sometimes I cry when I think about how much I miss these two.

I love watching big tour groups fight over each other to get pictures of all the art.

The best thing we saw in Florence though, was the David.

Unreal.

I enjoy art, but I have never been a huge art person. I can probably count on one hand the number of pieces that have actually emotionally impacted me in my life. (When I say art, I am referring to paintings and sculptures. Do not even get me started on music or film or photography that has emotionally impacted me). But the David has found it's way to the top. I don't know if I will ever be able to put the feelings I felt there into words.

We got to be a part of some huge celebration one night. Didn't understand what it was for, or a single thing for that matter.

People eat dinner soooo late in Italy. Like sometimes we would be walking back to our hotel at 11pm and restaurants would still be booming! We tried to wait as long as we could to eat dinner, but that usually meant like 7pm.

Kept up on our tradition of 2 or more gelato a day.

^^ this sign really spoke to me.

We did some shopping for future baby hiatt.

(no that was not an announcement).

One of the coolest things was seeing Scott reuniting with one of his favorite companions from his lds mission he served for two years.

I got to meet Trexler once before when he came out to Utah a couple years ago, but it was so fun to catch up and spend the afternoon with him. And see how happy he and Scott were. They only ever have the nicest things to say about each other, so you could really feel the love with them in the same city!

I have like five billion more photos just like this one!

The last morning in Florence, we decided to actually learn something about this gorgeous plaza we had spent so much time in, so we did a quick Rick Steves tour before our train left.

I probably could have split this up into like three different blog posts, but if I am being honest, I am trying to cut down on how many more I have to write. Partly because I am getting a little tired of writing them, partly because our last post will be our Italy video which I am SO excited about, and partly because life in Richmond is getting exciting and I want to start documenting that. But Florence was amazing! So much culture. And the best food.
