We headed to Orvieto for our second half day trip. Getting there is a story in itself. Let's just say Italy train stations are one of the most frustrating and confusing places in the world. After missing our train and spending a lovely three and a half hours in the train station, we made it. Orvieto is a small medieval hill town. The time of day we went was perfect, it was perfect weather and such a relaxing atmosphere, but it would have been nicer to get there a little earlier because a lot of things were closed. It was beautiful.
