They were unsuccessful in case you were wondering.
Scott was in charge of the GoPro this trip and took his duties very seriously. You will see quite a few pictures of him sneaking in his most prized possession in some of our pictures.
You can really tell how much I liked him doing this.
Want to know one of the coolest things about Rome? You can be walking down the street and BAM you pass something that has casually been there for thousands of years. The Colosseum and Roman Forum were two pretty amazing sights that I don't think we will ever forget. We downloaded the Rick Steves Audio Europe App which I highly recommend. He has tons of audio guides for all the major sights in Italy and it is free!! Yes you walk around together with headphones in, but we would all press play at the same time and laugh at Rick's jokes together. When you buy tickets for the Colosseum, you also buy tickets for the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. They are all right by each other so we did them the same morning. With lots of breaks for our aching feet of course. It was just so amazing because one second you are walking down the street in modern day Rome, and then all of a sudden you are transported back thousands of years. Even though everything is in "ruins" you can imagine what it once looked like.

So fun! I got to go to Rome twice when I was on my study abroad in London. The first time it snowed and rained and they closed the Colosseum so we didn't get to see it, but luckily the next time it was bright and sunny. Such fun pictures!

Snow and rain wouldn't have sounded too bad while we were there. Luckily the heat was worth it :)
